The Sultan of Selangor will be officiating thus we glammed up for the affair. Or rather my mum did. She changed her tudung 3 times, because they were not the right shade of purple. Finally we made it to the event, about 15 minutes before the Sultan arrived. Perfect timing.
As part of the event, there was a fashion show, where the models wore the fabric sold by Jakel. Some of my favourites were...
The event was held outside and it was so hot, even with the high marquee and mist fans. We went into one of the shops nearby just to get air conditioning, but it turned out to be a boutique owned by one of the Jakel owners. The dresses worn by the Jakel owners were all from this shop, and they were gorgeous! Mum managed to do some damage to her credit card at the store, as always. And you ask me where my shopping addiction comes from...
Jakel is one of the must place to go for me this weekend. Will the one in Masjid India is a good place to look for kain utk baju Nikah?
