mummy's cupcakes

My mum has started baking after we finished renovating the house. We are having a family get together this Saturday, so we decided to bake cupcakes yesterday. I don't really bake but am always willing to help.

First we beat the butter until smooth. 

Then, we add eggs and cake mix, and beat until all is mixed together. 

We used a piping thingy to put the mix into the cups

In it goes into the oven.

Now comes the hard bit, decorating! Very time consuming, as you have to do it one by one... but the end product is so pretty!

This is only the first batch. My mum wants to use buttercream icing for the other batch of cupcakes. So I've been looking online for a good recipe. So many to choose from!
