I've been using Mozilla Firefox since my uni days as my preferred browser. However when deciding which browser to install on my new laptop, I decided to go for Google Chrome.
Verdict so far: I think it is much faster than Mozilla. There's no hang-ups. When I was using Mozilla, I had to restart every hour or so because the browser would suddenly freeze for no reason. The layout is also much cleaner, there's no toolbars floating about, filling up your screen. The address bar acts as a search bar as well, which is very convenient. Thus so far, I am very happy with Google Chrome :)
I love the keyboard on my new laptop. The Intel Core i3 processor is a million times faster than my previous Intel Celeron processor. Shifting between different applications is now a breeze. Previously, if I was browsing on Mozilla, Skype would suddenly start acting up. If I was on Skype, I couldn't have iTunes open, because it is just too MUCH to handle.
To be fair, my previous laptop was about 3.5 years old. So, it is due for an upgrade. It has served me well, and I would be sad to see it go. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to watch all my favourite tv series, and would have then died of boredom. So thank you old lappy, you will be remembered.
