Raya in Dublin

First and foremost, Selamat Hari Raya and maaf zahir batin to all. Raya this year is the best one I've had since staying overseas because my family was around! Yeap, the whole clan was here for raya, and I was amazed how everyone fit into our tiny apartment. We cooked the usual raya dishes i.e. soto, rendang, kuah kacang, complemented with the ketupat and lemang that my mum managed to smuggle pass Customs. My family arrived a day before raya so we spent the day preparing food for raya morning. On the first day of raya, we spent the morning at home and the afternoon walking around Dublin town where my family discovered Penneys aka Primark. Safe to say, that was the day gone!

On the second and third day of raya, we went on a mini road trip to County Galway and Claire, to show the family the famous Irish countryside. They were in awe and we had to stop so many times to take pictures. Good to know they enjoyed it :)

Fourth day of raya was spent in Kildare Village, which is similar to Bicester Village but a bit smaller. Tak sah tak bawak Malaysian pergi shopping! We went on a weekday so it was nice and quiet, conducive for shopping but not good for the wallet! Family did quite a bit of damage there but it's ok, kasi chance la. As for me, I only got a purse for myself and a diaper bag for the little one from Cath Kidston. The bag comes with a matching bottle cover and changing mat.

Fifth day of raya was spent walking around Dublin again, with another stop at Penneys of course. Last kopek shopping.

The family left for Geneva on the sixth day of raya. They spent 2 nights in Geneva, 2 nights in Paris and 2 nights in London. They are now safely home in KL and we miss them so much. The apartment feels so empty without them :( But this time around, it's only a short goodbye as mum will be coming back in November for the arrival of the little one! 

Which reminds me, I'm now 28 weeks along, coming into my last trimester already. Time really flew by! Only 9 weeks left till the start of my maternity leave, :D
