Every Sunday, I go through a beauty routine at home. I'll scrub my face and wear a facial mask and after, my face would feel so fresh and clean. It's more fun when you do this with someone else so sometimes I rope in my husband to do it with me. He doesn't really mind, especially if there's a football match on because he'll just sit on the couch for 15 minutes while waiting for the mask to dry. Maybe if we have a girl, I can do beauty treatments at home with her rather than torturing the husband.
I'm not very loyal when it comes to beauty products. I have this theory that your body gets immune to the effects so you need to try something new to spice it up. However, there are three products that I do swear by, and have used them religiously over the years.

This is THE wonder product. When I was in the my first trimester, I pretty much gave up on my beauty regime, except for the washing face and moisturising bit twice a day. I don’t know whether it was the effect of not using the serum, or that I wasn’t eating anything, but my face certainly looked tired, dull, and pale. I had bigger things to worry about but when people started commenting about your skin, you definitely feel your ego being bruised!
I have started wearing this regularly again every night and I can see the positive effects on my skin. It’s now more refined, less dull and has a subtle glow. It definitely looks healthier than before. I have to say, it is quite pricey but I only use a tiny drop every night so a bottle can last me for 10-12 months. I really hope they don’t discontinue this product!

I wonder if when the baby arrives, will I still have time for my beauty routine. Or will I just be too exhausted and dive straight into bed when he/she sleeps? Time will tell!

my theory or what others told me, if u r breaking out during ur pregnancy, it;s a boy, vice versa, it's a girl. when i was carrying ayra, i was free of zits. total. walopun ms pregnant sgt3 malas pakai product. i basically didnt use anything. hanya basuh muka and sunblock. alhamdulillah, ok. its the hormone. tp.. regardless all that, the face was looking tired all the time. till now. huhu
ReplyDeleteNa, Advance Night Repair tu xkan discontinue kot.since it is one of their killer product at it has been there since like forever. Me too also got that darn comments, "faezah, nape muka byk jerawat ni, nape muka nampak pucat ni..yada..yada" as if like looking at the mirror is not enuff to kill u, everybody around u have to kill u too. and the killer statement yang aku dpt " akak rasa, awak ni pregnant baby girl, sbb semua kecantikan awak baby da amek." adei...Anyway,pregnant is good reason to go for organic skincare. kat KLCC baru ada Neal's Yard n aku da aim nak beli product dia after facial wash aku ni abes.
ReplyDeleteHmm interesting, 2 very different opinions here hehe arina ckp clear skin means baby girl, azza ckp the opposite. Hopefully scan next week will know the sex of the baby :)
ReplyDeleteI got comments like Faezah, the part baby amik your glow/beauty. haha and as u know I have a girl.
ReplyDeleteI broke out like crazy too during pregnancy.
in my case, it's the genes i think.
like water retention.
if ur mom had water retention, chances are u'll get it too.
and i got it baddd. hehe
my mum said she had water retention too. so am anticipating it as well. any day now....
